OVERVIEW CONTINUOUS WAVE SIMULATION
CWS 500N1 Continuous Wave Simulator
The CWS 500N1 is the most compact single box test equipment for testing conducted rf immunity as per IEC 61000-4-6 and related standards. Apart from the 1kHz 80% AM signal the CWS 500N1 also generates a 2 Hz 80% AM signal to test medical appliances and a 1 Hz PM signal with 50% duty cycle required to test safety equipment like fire alarms.
Equipped with a 1 GHz current monitor the CWS 500N1 can be used up to 1 GHz by means of an external amplifier.
EM TEST supplies a large range of CDNs, EM clamp and current injection clamps as well as the corresponding calibration accessories.

CWS 500N2 Continuous Wave Simulator
Bulk Current Injection (BCI) is a test procedure to proof the immunity to electrical disturbances by narrowband electromagnetic energy. The test signal is injected by means of a current injection probe physically being a current transformer laid around the wiring harness. Immunity tests are performed varying the level and the frequency of the injected test signal. The BCI test methode is widely known in the automotive industry as well as in the military/aircraft industry to test single components of a complex system.
The CWS 500N2 is designed to be used also for tests with TEM cell, Stripline and Parallel Plate as well as CDNs and EM clamps for tests according to EN/IEC 61000-4-6 and related standards.

CWS 500N3 Simulator for low frequencies 10 Hz - 250 kHz
Key applications of the CWS 500N3 are in the automotive and aerospace area. Various international standards and MIL requirements call for magnetic field tests in the low frequency range. Apart from this the automotive industry requires conducted immunity tests with superposed sinusoidal signals on the DC supply voltage (ripple noise). For both applications the CWS 500N3 is the perfect equipment including everything in a single box, necessary for these tests.
The CWS 500N3 meets requirements of SAE J1113-2, ISO 11452-8, DO 160D/E Section 18 and MIL-STD-461 D/E CS101, CS109 and RS101.

CWS 500N4 Simulator for conducted, common-mode disturbances, 0Hz (DC) to 150kHz
The CWS 500N4 is the state-of-the-art solution in a compact single-box design to test for immunity to conducted, common mode disturbances in the frequency range 0Hz (DC) to 150kHhz. Such test requirements are specified in IEC 61000-4-16 and cover continuous mode testing as well as short term testing with DC, 16 2/3Hz, 50Hz and 60Hz with 4 test levels each plus a sweep mode from 15Hz to 150kHz.
Complemented by an AC voltage source and a motor variac the CWS 500N4 forms a complete test systems allowing to couple the disturbance signals onto the various types of lines by means of the specified coupling networks.
