LD 200S18 - Load Dump generator as per Toyota
Load Dump pulses simulate the sudden disconnection (e.g. by corrosion) of the battery from the alternator while the alternator is generating current to load the battery. Such Load Dump pulses are high energy pulses with a high potential of destruction.
The LD 200S18 generates the Field Decay pulse and the Spark Test pulse as per Toyota specification.

The LD 200S18 includes everything necessary to conduct fully compliant tests. It generates the Field Decay pulse as required by Toyota specifications. The Spark Test pulse can be performed with the same test equipment connecting an additonal DC voltage source with -600V to the LD 200S18. An electronic battery switch is built-in for decoupling the transients from the DC voltage source.
The LD 200S18 is a standalone pulse generator including a 60V/25A DC coupling/decoupling network but still it can be integrated easily into a complete test system. Operation is both manual and by software via GPIB or RS232. Fail inputs allow to control an ongoing test sequence based on the status of the DUT. A warning lamp control contact is provided as well as a safety interlock.
Pre-programmed Standard Test routines allow highest user convenience.

Front panel menu and function keys enable the user to program his test routines quickly and accurately. The cursor allows fast control of all test parameters of the programmed routine, thus test procedures are simplified and confidence is generated that every step is carried out correctly.

RDS 200S1 - External DC voltage source for Spark Test as per Toyota
The RDS 200S1 is an external dc source for 600V/2A output power. The source can be used together with the Field Decay generator type LD 200S18 as required in Toyota TSC 7001G. As an option the RDS 200S1 is used to generate the so called Spark Test, which is a rectangular 600V peak pulse.
